I have worked with various trainers over the years, but none as great as Maurion. We've been a team for at least 13 years. He has the unique ability to understand your true limits versus trying to be lazy or scared to push yourself and he helps you get past it. He judges each individual for their abilities and doesn't treat his clients as one size fits all. He believes in my strength, even when I don't. Some trainers will push fitness fads or unhealthy diets, not Maurion. He understands balance and works with you, understanding that you are going to eat pizza or chocolate cake. Maurion also makes sure you don't get bored. My routines went from weights to running lines on a basketball court to runs on the National Mall--constantly evolving so that we are not doing the same thing all the time. He also makes working out very fun. I've never worked with a trainer who was willing to dress up in ridiculous workout outfits to make our routines light hearted and to motivate me. When people look for trainers, they are looking for someone to make them stronger or thinner or healthier--Maurion does all of those things, but he also makes his clients feel better on the inside, helping them feel stronger and healthier mentally.
